| | Definition: Test Fence -
A device in the form of a fence-like or rack-like support structure designed for the atmospheric exposure of painted and unpainted test panels or specimens. These structures are placed in various locations in order to expose the test panels to a combination of atmospheric (natural) weathering conditions including temperature variations, sunlight, and moisture. Often the test fence is designed to expose the panels toward a specific direction and angle to maximize certain environmental effects. |
