An experienced research & development polymer chemist, Expert has developed materials for diverse applications, including film support, photoresist, photographic film, microfilm, optical recording media, electrophotographic toner, photoreceptors, photopolymerization, charge couple devices filter array, tape automated bonding, thermal media, printing masters, digital printers.

Expert has developed a semi-empirical model for controlling thickness and thickness uniformity of dip-coated photoreceptor drums. His model enables thickness control of 20 to 40 microns thick dip-coated layers within one micron from top to bottom of cylinders as long as 400 mm.

Participated in many inter-divisional projects, making several significant contributions including three patents for the Kodak 14-inch Optical Disk System 6800 media, the world's largest capacity optical disk storage medium at the time.

Invented and developed electrographic imaging process useful for color filter array fabrication and xerographic master applications.

Designed, synthesized,. and developed cross-linkable acrylate monomers useful as surface smoothing layer for optical recording media substrates, and barrier layers for electrophotographic photoreceptors.

Developed and studied high-temperature resistant photopolymerizable layers useful for macroresist, abrasion resistant coatings, printed circuit board and automated tape bonding applications.

Awarded eleven US patents and authored several external scientific publications, including co-authoring a chapter of the third edition of the Kirk-Othmer Encyclopedia of Chemical Technology ("Photoreactive Polymers").

Recipient of the second-awarded Eastman Kodak C.E.K. Mees Award for Excellence in Scientific Research and Reporting in 1983.

Graduated from three different departments from the University of Rochester: B.S. Chemistry in 1977. M.S. Chemical Engineering/Polymer Science in 1982. M.B.A. Executive Dvelopment Program, Simon School of Business (Beta Gamma, Sigma) in 1986.
