Systems engineering for the Spaceway™ program office in support of business case development, including technical concept development and design trades for emerging applications, e.g., Internet services. Expert designed multiprocessor hardware/software architecture of Object Dependent Processor (ODP) for ATP. ODP combined 30+ single-board computers in a four-chassis VME bus to execute detection algorithms for an airborne experiment. Expert developed data scheduling algorithm to distribute signal processing load over multiple processors, also coded prototype scheduler and signal processing in assembly language on three single-board computers.

Expert was systems engineering on Palapa Demand Assignment for Indonesian national telephone company. The system was a computerized switch for SCPC satellite telephone circuits. Expert wrote specifications for master and remote controllers during all stages of a telephone call. Expert worked with programmers to test computer functions and performance under load. The system was installed and operating outside Jakarta six months ahead of its original schedule. Developed codes for FDM interference analysis in support of frequency planning and traffic capacity estimation.
