Thermal analysis of the obtained information allows a multi-layered parallel comparison of the measured IR images and other sizes, allowing for comprehensive analysis of the problem. Through the analysis of causes and effects of failure by FMEA method, causes of failure of critical elements and assemblies were determined, as well as the influence of failure of elements and assemblies on gearbox performance. Quantitative failure analysis, or in other words Failure Mode, Effects and Critically Analysis, was carried out by Spata infrared stress analyzer method, which is in fact the combination of Infrared, FMEA and CA (Critically Analysis) methods and is practically the analysis of the the `severity` of consequences caused by a certain failure. Analysis by Spata infrared stress analyzer method is suitable for qualitative and quantitative analysis regarding the system design, development, reliability analysis, maintenance convenience and system availability.
