Expert has worked for over 30 years in the oil and gas industry in academic, engineering and management positions with entities such as Arco Alaska and Nabors Drilling. While at Arco, Expert was assigned as a drilling engineer and then worked several years as an on-site drilling supervisor. He maintained this position after moving to Nabors. Within a year of joining Nabors, Expert became Vice President of the Turnkey Drilling Division of Nabors, based in Houston. During this time Expert became adept at drilling difficult HPHT wells along the Gulf Coast, including numerous wells drilled deeper than 19,000 feet. Expert left Nabors in 2002 and joined his current firm as Vice President of Operations. He was responsible for all operations including well design of extreme HPHT Deep Bossier, HPHT Knowles Horizontal, and Marcellus and Eagleford resource wells; management of drilling, completion and stimulation operations; gas gathering; and gas sales. He is currently on the faculty of a Texas university, and early in his career was on the faculty at New Mexico Tech. Expert holds a B.S. degree in Geology, Master of Science degree in Petroleum Engineering, and Doctor of Philosophy Degree in Petroleum Engineering, all from Louisiana State University in Baton Rouge. Expert is a 25 Year Member of the Society of Petroleum Engineers, serving as a Distinguished Lecturer in 1995-96.
