Expert has leveraged his background in chemistry to the development of new lubricants for the powder metallugy compaction and ejection processes. These lubricants have been formulated for excellent powder, green, and sintered properties including compressibility to form green compacts, sintered part cleanliness, and reduced environmental impact. Under ISO/TS 16949 registration, he led the development of these materials from benchtop to full-scale batch manufacturing, developed rigorous quality specifications for the raw materials and finished goods, and provided marketing materials for successful product launches.
Expert has led development of a variety of noise control materials. These include coatings and sheets as vibration dampers, heavily loaded thermoplastic sheets as noise barriers, and cast polyurethane as floor mats. Different types of mixers and compounding equipment were used in their commercialization. He also has extensive knowledge of acoustical polyurethane foam used for sound absorption, used either alone or in conjunction with noise barriers. All products were thoroughly characterized by measurement of numerous physical and mechanical properties, chemical resistances, and flammability / smoke generation.

Supplier and Vendor Location and Selection A very important aspect of his role as R&D Manager was to ensure secure sourcing of raw materials for various specialty chemicals and acoustical materials. Second-sources were identified, sufficient material was brought in-house for initial assessment in the laboratory and ultimate evaluation at the full production scale.
Other Skills and Services
He has recently completed training at McGill University which resulted in the awarding of a Certificate in Project Management.
