Much of the research has been carried out in the context of African and Asian ecosystems around issues of agricultural pest management, eco-epidemiology of zoonoses, ecosystem services, conservation, indigenous knowledge systems and community-based research. Expert has acted as an Expert Witness in British court proceedings and acted as an external programme advisor and evaluator for several clients.
