Grace. He used many modern analytical intruments for characterizing these materials. He managed an analytical chemistry department at PQ and was also a Senior Research Fellow. He is an author of more than 20 peer reviewed research publications and inventor of 5 patents. He worked with corporate engineering, sales, marketing and production personnel. He interfaced with corporate customers.
Since retirement from PQ he has consulted with several clients on silica based materials and was an expert witness in a patent infringement case.

He was an expert witness in a patent infringement case involving manufacture of a precipitated silica. He arranged for testing of opponent's material and evaluated test results, then wrote an expert report. He was deposed by opponent's counsel but case did not go to trial.

He advised a manufacturer of photovoltaic silicon cells on how to dispose of a silicate waste stream

He evaluated the properties of a precipitated silica used in rubber tire manufacture and also evaluated the manufacturing facility for making this product.
