Born in 1963 in Milan, achieved his MSc in Electronic Engineering (Politecnico di Milano) plus additional qualifications in ICT System Management (SDA-Bocconi) and Software Engineering (IBM-IFDA) and many others. Due to personal reasson Expert started his working experience very early and has at present has over 20 years of experience in software & systems engineering gained in the industrial domain. Italian is Expert's mother tongue, but he has a good mastering of English, French and Spanish. He is currently Senior Research Fellow and Project Manager at a university in Great Britain, and has been working since 1984, dealing with automation, ICT, software development, security and quality assurance with a track record of over 50 international and national projects successful completion most of which are multi-million budget ones; he has often been asked to rescue projects in critical conditions and always succeed in the objective. He is a Senior Member of IEEE and ACM, is also a member of the Computer Society, Communication Society, IEEE-TCECS, IEEE-TCSE, IEEE-SA, PMI, US Digital Society, NEM European Industrial Initiative, NESSI – Networked European Software and Services Initiative, STAR – Socio-Economic Trends Assessment for the Digital Revolution experts group, CEN-ISSS – WS-LT Learning Technology work group, APLR Accessibility Properties for Learning Resources. Expert often acts as adviser for the European Commission for which he acts also as project expert evaluator and reviewer. He also covers a similar role for the Piedmont and Emilia Romagna Regions in Italy. Due to his expertise, Expert has been asked to lecture both at the Politecnico di Milano School of Design and at Fondazione Clerici and has been awarded the certificate of "Master Judges" within 2007 and 2008 Brandon Hall Excellence Award contexts. During his professional career he has been working intensively in the automation and security environment both in terms of physical and logical security. He has also developed a specific passwords and texts encryption mechanism used in banks and the military domain. He has (co)authored 23 scientific articles, 9 position papers, 6 tutorials, a case-study, a book chapter and the market analysis adopted as starting point of the EC Special Task Force for Multimedia and Education. He edited the AMME Project Book.
