Expert was appointed to his current post as consultant in obstetrics and gynaecology in July 1984. His position is as a general consultant in obstetrics and gynaecology. Northampton is a busy district general hospital with all the major specialities. He is responsible for 500 obstetric patients and approximately 1,000 gynaecological operations per year. He continues to manage a full obstetric and gynaecological workload in addition to managerial and academic responsibilities. Expert's major interest over the last fifteen years has been the development of advanced endoscopic surgical techniques. He now has a national and international reputation in these techniques. Expert is an active member of several endoscopic surgical societies, and has served on the committee of the British Gynaecological Endoscopy Society. He has run numerous endoscopic training workshops, in the UK and abroad. He has been an accredited laparoscopic preceptor of the RCOG. He was awarded a "C" merit award in 1995. Over the last 25 years Expert has developed a successful medico-legal practice advising clients, and giving evidence in courts around the world. In addition to the UK he has acted in Ireland, Kuwait, Australia, Singapore and Hong Kong.
