Expert is a professional occupational hygiene consultant trading as Occuaptional Hygiene Advisory Service OHAS Ltd. He currently undertakes commercial assignments for industrial clients including:- carrying out air monitoring for comparison to published occupational exposure standards eg lead in air; assistance with application of complex health and safety law on the topic of substances hazardous to health (the CoSHH Regulations in the UK); investigation of disease outbreaks such as oil-induced dermatitis or occupational asthma; assistance with interpretation of statutory enforcement notices or prosecutions. Expert is a professional occupational hygiene consultant and a necessary part of this work includes an assessment of industrial dust, fume and vapour control. Expert does not own or run an engineering company specialising in industrial fume control, but an important part of his work is the facility to involve other experts in those areas, and to ensure that any engineering control measures are designed and operated on good occuaptional hygiene practice. In addition, Expert is able to advise clients on the statutory requirements for such equipment (including personal protective equipment such as respiratory protection RPE), and is able to assist with the required testing, maintenance and record-keeping.

He specialised in investigation of the chemical kinetics of free-radical initiation of vinyl chloride polymerisation. Expert Witness Experience Summary:

Expert prepares 100 to 120 reports a year on investigation of claims litigated through the UK courts for occupational disease claims. Examples of such reports include asbestos-related diseases (mainly mesothelioma); occupational asthma; solvents toxicity; dermatitis; bladder cancer; pneumoconiosis. Typically, 2 to 3 cases go to Court each year and Expert attends to give aural evidence under cross examination.
