His expertise encompasses all aspects of emergency care and he has an international reputation in the field of emergency airway management and regularly lectures both in the UK and the USA. He has been at the forefront of the introduction of advanced airway devices for use in Emergency Departments. He sits on the UK steering groups of the UK Training in Emergency Airway Management course (UK TEAM) , The Advanced Trauma Life Support course (ATLS) and has developed an undergraduate trauma resuscitation course, the Trauma Assessment and Resuscitation for Medical Students (TARMS). Expert sits on the Local Research Ethics Committee and is currently participating in two multicentre research projects.
