Expert has completed an ophthalmology residency, a fellowship in glaucoma, and have served as Chief Resident at Washington University for one year. He co-founded a refractive surgery center and a wholesale optical surfacing laboratory and has been the principal investigator for approximately 34 FDA clinical trials for ocular pharmaceuticals and devices over a 15 year period. He is familar with issues dealing with the corneal endothelium and cornea, the atrial natriuretic factor and intraocular pressure, bilateral Petter' anomaly, protocols and apparatus to measure digital pressure on the eye, optic cup asymmetry risk factors, biomicroscopy of implanted STAAR intraocular contact lenses in humans and ophthalmic emulsion for postoperative inflammation and pain. He has published several articles on the previously mentioned topics and has been recognized on several occasions by the ASCRS and the ARVO for his outstanding presentations. His current research endeavors include assessing of the duration of action of Levocabastine, acute allergic conjunctivitis, evaluating of the efficacy and safety of 1.0% Rimexolone Ophthalmic, Comparative Trial Assessing the Long-Term Safety of Inhaled Fluticasone Propionate Rotadisks via Diskhaler, Effects of Naphazoline (0.025%) / Pheniramine (0.3%) in Combination Compared to Vehicle Control, Naphazoline (0.025%), and Pheniramine (0.3%), Safety Study of Xalatan, Glaucoma or Ocular Hypertension, Fixed Combination of Latanoprost and Timolol with Latanoprost, Intraocular Lens, Evaluate the Clinical and Microbial Efficacy of 0.6% ISV-403, comparative study of Treatment of Bacterial Conjunctivitis, Ocular Tolerance and IOP Effects of LET, Capsular Tension Ring, Clinical Safety and Efficacy Evaluation of Zylet, Treatment of Blepharokeratoconjunctivitis, Evaluate the Safety of BID, etc.
