Expert understands the biological and chemical principles involved in aerobic and anaerobic bacteria metabolic processes and has audited and optimized industrial wastewater digesters in industrial and municipal facilities. Her engineering evaluations of system design and performance include the use of operating measures such as F/M (food to micro-organism or food to mass ratio), BOD (biochemical oxygen demand), COD (chemical oxygen demand), TSS (total suspended solids), SVI (sludge volume index), throughput capacity and basic effluent water quality measures such as temperature and pH.

Expert has worked for development of plan for management of municipal solid waste, solid hazardous waste, electroplating solid waste, tannery industries and leather industries as well as MSW quantitative and qualitative characterization studies. She has had two Ph.D. had submitted under guidance of her in this field. She has developed green concrete by recycling the hazardous solid waste with one scholar and developed geopolymer through alkali activation with another one. She has worked on tannery, electroplating, lather processing and many other industries solid waste. She has knowledge of solidification/stabilization. leaching procedures like TCLP, effect of pH on leaching of heavy metals etc.

Expert is an expert in the field of photo catalysis and solar detoxification of waste waste. Industrial waste water treatment was the basic issue of her research. She has particularly worked on treatment of waste water from an electroplating industry. Industrial waste water treatment with organic and inorganic contaminants can be successfully treated. She has performed MINTEQUA modeling in one of her guided theses. COD and TDS reduction is also dealt with in the thesis, as well as the photo catalytic waste water treatment could be used for the waste water from metal finishing industries.

Expert has a strong analytical background. She has worked on water, waste-water, air, soil, hazardous and municipal waste analysis. Fuel proximate and ultimate analysis. Biogas generation and analysis from different waste was also performed. She has experience of industrial, commercial and residential environmental monitoring and regulations. She has done environmental baseline data creation for TSDF site. This data generation involve surface, ground water analysis, air quality, noise , soil analysis. A useful conclusion can be drawn on the impact of particular activity on environment. The analytical procedure used comply Indian and International standards and regulations. She has worked on consultancy projects for water quality analysis and performance of effluent treatment plant. Air quality analysis of residential, commercial and industrial area were also performed at different stages of her career. Lead levels investigations due to vehicular pollution in air. She had knowledge of energy and environmental auditing.
