Later, the team moved video to all IP phone at the end users office. These technology leadership advances makes Polycom the recognized world leader in videotelephony as well as leader in broadband communication. His background includes CTO and VP of Engineering at VTEL Communications and Forgent Networks where he led the $125M patent portfolio strategy and M&A and drove the strategy and direction to create the first heterogeneous Video Network Management Platform before the company software business was sold to Tandberg. The systems network management software allows Tandberg to interoperate with all video conferencing solution providers, and allows seamless integration into data management tools like Hewlett Packard Openview and IBM's NetCool. His had numerous assignments in his 18 year career at IBM including HQ assignments and delivery of IBM's PowerPC, the first High Availability Cluster Multi-Processor (HACMP) Fault Tolerant System, IBM's Broadcast Media Streamer, Digital Ad/Spot Insertion System, Video on Demand System, and VideoCharger the Streaming Audio and Video over the Internet system. His olds a BS degree in Computer Science and a MS degree in Computer Engineering and was selected by IBM to attend the Duke University Fugua School of Business Management for Executives.
