He prformed engineering analysis and economic evaluation of a novel process for coproducing hydrogen and power from coal via gasification.
|
| Selected Consulting Examples: |
-
He helped a large chemical company develop an amination process for producing a diamine product which had only one supplier at that time. The work involved analyzing lab data to uncover the limitation of the reactor design, suggesting changes and making sure that a successful completion of pilot trial was achieved
-
He provided expertise in hydrogenation technology for a global petroleum and petrochemical company in selecting proper catalyst and designing a reactor system for converting a dicaboxylic acid into a diol one one step. The process is in commercial operation now.
-
He analyzed plant and laboratory data from a batch hydrogenation process in a Food/Pharmaceutical company to determine if the plant capacity can be increased by running the process as a continuous reactor.
-
He provided advise and process calculations for specialty chemical company in selecting the proper catalyst and reactor configuration for a hydro dechlorination process, taking into account corrosion issues.
-
He analyzed lab data obtained using small batch agitated slurry reactor and used the results to design a system of continuous trickle bed reactors for commercialization of the hydrogenation steo of a synthetic fuel process. He prepared capital and operating cost estimates for the process as well as a local hydrogen manufacturing unit.
