He served as an instructor of Restaurant Operations, Franchising, Advertising/Promotions at UCLA and various LA Community Colleges for over 25 years. Served as a columnist for over 20 years with Restaurant Business Magazine, Singapore Hotel & Restaurant Magazine, Hotelier for Asia, La Carta Spanish Pub., Modern Franchise Journal, Western Foodservice, Restaurant News, Quick Frozen Foods Mag., Eastside Journal, etc. Expert has held positions of authority, responsibility, ownership, officer and/or directorships with such diverse organizations such as: IHOP, Pioneer Take Out Corporation, Kermin Frozen Foods Company, Royal Inns of America, Inc., Betsy Ross Ice Cream/Coffee Shops, Fresh & Ready Foods, Inc., IBM Foods, Inc., China Grove Restaurants, Inc., etc. He acted as an arbitrator with the American Arbitration Association from 1972-2000. He served with the Superior/Municipal Courts in Los Angeles, Beverly Hills and Santa Monica.
With the California State Bar, Expert was vital in a Fee Dispute Resolution case. He served on WIPO's board of directors and attended many conferences in Geneva, Switzerland. Also, served on the Korean Commercial Arbitration Board in Seoul, Korea.
