Expertise Description: |
biochemistry expert |
Extensive knowledge of protein extraction, purifications and standardization of protocols. Comparative proteomics analysis by Two dimensional analysis electrophoresis has been done to analyze the GM and native plants proteins profile at the level of proteins and by IgE Immunoblot with mustard positive patient's sera.
In-vitro digestibility and heat stability of proteins was also assessed.
food biotechnology expert |
Safety of foods developed by biotechnology has been studied. Animal model was developed by systemic exposure of GM and native plant protein in Balb/c mice to study the immunological responses. Tissue histolopathological analysis was done to study the intracellular inflammation. Spleen cells isolation for Th1/Th2 cytokines analyses was performed.
Allergenicity and protein toxicity of purified proteins was also assessed using in-vitro methods and animal model studies. |
genetically engineered material expert |
Protein isolated from different sources and introduced in plants for abiotic stress tolerance and antifungal activity was cloned and expressed in pET 22b+ vector and purified by chromatographic (Ni-NTA affinity chromatograpy) technique. Safety of proteins was assessed by in-vivo and in-vitro studies for allergenicity and toxicity. Safety of transgenic plant having siRNA for protection against leaf curl virus disease was done for assessment allergenicity and toxicity by in-vitro assays and animal model studies. |
