His organisation is in the business of battery recycling. While presently they manually handle the battery breaking in future they plan to have a battery breaking unit. The lead recovered is first smelted in rotary furnace (while they are presently on the design board for vertical furnaces). The smelted ingots are further refined in melting pots and alloyed to get the requisite antimony, calcium, etc. alloys.

He and his firm are pioneers in the field of hazardous waste management in India. 60% of the waste received are from chemical, pharmaceutical wastes which require disposal. They practice three modes: 1. Direct Landfill
2. Landfill After Stabilisation
3. Incineration
The industries which use his facilities most often send mixed wastes in spite of our alerting them not to mix waste. These combined waste are put through a set of treatment procedures to treat the wastes. One example out of the many are Barium cyanide waste which is treated for cyanide and barium is also fixed and solidified

He and his firm have just started an e-waste management facility for electronic and electrical waste management. They do get lot of computer facility from the IT business sector. client permitting they donate some computers to low end users after repairing them. Most clients emphasise on on site destruction of date storage devices. Rest of the waste shredded, dissolved in acid and won back electrochemically

Even at this juncture (over last 28 years), he is a consultant to over 250 industries on the issues of environment management dealing with environmental impact assessments, waste audits, environment management systems, solid waste management, waste water treatment systems etc.
Through the present organisation he works for, he has been able to set up over 10 hazardous waste management facilities on Build Own Operate basis involving design, build, operate, maintain and monitor basis. These facilities involve waste reception, analysis, disposal decisions, storage, treatment, landfill, treatment of waste facilities, incineration as basis facilities. Many of our clients have been seeking our assistance to clean up the facilities of hazardous wastes. 40% of these wastes are generally incinerated depending upon the Loss on ignition and calorific values.
Since in the business of hazardous waste management right from the beginning when Indian authorities took initiative, he was a part of regulation formulation. This country is still working on these statutes and he is involved in the process of writing, brainstorming and legalizing.
All his facilities have incineration as a part of hazardous waste management. He and his firm use rotary kiln incinerators wherein rotary kiln is followed by a secondary chamber, followed by a quench or a spray driers, followed by a cyclone, followed by lime carbon injection followed by bag filters followed by wet scrubber to the stack. The stack is continuously monitored.
He was involved in the hazardous waste incineration system design starting from waste analysis inputs to air pollution control system and the incineration system as a whole.
