Expert holds a Ph.D. in Ergonomics from Loughborough University, UK and is Board Certified throughout the United States and Europe. Expert's dissertation focused on the work relatedness of carpal tunnel syndrome and other upper extremity cumulative trauma disorders. He is a National Expert Witness with more than 10 years forensic consulting experience, representing both defense & plaintiff. Expert is presently the Director over all Research Laboratories as well as Associate Director of the Technology Division for the VA Patient Safety Center of Inquiry in Tampa, Florida. He is also an Assistant Research Professor in the Department of Biomedical Engineering at the Expert's University, where he mentors Masters and Doctoral students with their thesis and dissertation research. Expert has served as principal investigator or co-investigator on several federally-funded research grants and has authored more than 80 book chapters, publications, open-literature articles and technical reports. He serves on the VA National Ergonomics Committee. Expert's expertise is in the areas of biomedical instrumentation, patient care ergonomics and technology evaluation. He has received the distinctions of Certified Professional Ergonomist, and is a member of the Ergonomics Society's professional register.
