A near 20 year commercial and product development veteran of the chemicals, polymers and performance materials industries, Expert is known for developing simple, hard driving innovation processes that produce results quickly. Expert is known for seeing opportunity where no one thought there was any and then identifying product opportunities that frequently allow for new technology platforms, not simply evolutionary improvements. Expert has extensive experience in product materials, processing and assembly with far ranging experience in industries from aerospace adhesives to shelf life products for fresh cut produce. A recent, highly innovative platform is Nexicor's portable, hand held induction heating system for adhesive bonding, plastics welding and soldering which was named one of the best new installation products in the carpet industry.

Expert's Firm is an innovation and commercial development consulting practice specializing in improving and leading innovation & commercialization processes in industrial, consumer, and medical markets where chemicals, polymers, and performance materials play a significant role in generating added value.

Most new ideas fail at their inception with no one ever knowing they were doomed from the start. Few are well thought out, most are based upon erroneous or latent assumptions and few are even at a scale of return given the investment to even matter. Expert has been involved his entire career in delivering high value products where the price is based upon what your product does, not what's in the bottle. At many companies, such as Loctite, Expert has learned first hand that truly innovative manufactured products are enabling to their customers, providing benefits at least twice, more often 5 to 10 times, the price of the product with a manufactured cost at least half, but preferably less than 20% of said price. Even further, truly innovative platforms deliver improvements in a company's or division's profits by at least 10% or more, preferably 50% or more.

Most of Expert's clients are manufacturing companies that are looking to reinvent themselves and/or to move to another level of organic growth without long-term research on truly new to the world technologies. By examining the true, technical fundamental competencies that a company has, a new lens is created through which wondrous opportunities suddenly seem clearly possible.

At Expert's Firm Expert adapts his Living Product Development Process to the client's needs cooperatively, including their partners and their customers. Accordingly, ideas are now generated and developed from the start with the company's strategic objectives in mind, the financial targets in view, technological and business competencies rigorously analyzed and with the customer's basic needs more fundamentally examined. Accordingly, a lateral transfer and combing of seemingly unrelated, but proven technologies from a myriad of industries can now be combined to deliver new opportunities that you are uniquely positioned to take advantage of. Expert's Firm then develops systematic scanning and monitoring methodologies that allow for the constant evaluation and ranking of opportunities and the critical lynch pins to success that allow for an efficient allocation of scarce resources. Of course, nothing is too simple. In most cases, a combination of several existing technologies is required to solve a critical issue, but it is still far simpler

Consulting Services:
Process Simplicity = Rapid Understanding. Ideation, Development and Commercialization – It's complex, but who is making the money, you or the consultants? At Expert's Firm there are no thick binders, no 30 days of training, just simple, straight forward product development principles rapidly learned.

Lateral Technology Transfer = Confident Speed. He focuses on the lateral transfer of already reduced to practice concepts from seemingly unrelated industries to solve the lynch pins critical to success.

Expert's Firm staff led the development and patenting of shelf stable topical wound closure cyanoacrylate adhesive formulations and assisted in developing and trialing the product's manufacturing processes. Expert's work led to the development of an FDA approved formulation and manufacturing processes for topical medical adhesives where Closure Medical had no consistently viable process. Closure Medical went into FDA trial production within 90 days of engagement and a national launch was enabled that same year.

Expert's Firm led the development, patenting and market analysis for the first low cost, hand held, induction activated instant adhesive and tool systems for widespread industrial and consumer use. Nexicor's SINCH Technology™ is a revolutionary fastening technology platform that makes difficult fastening jobs simple, safe, and convenient, by focusing the heat only in the bondline of the area being fastened. This intelligent bonding stems from the patented SINCH Technology's™ ability to read the distance to the bond-target and calibrate the energy needed to achieve precise heating. The SINCH Technology™ generates a safe electromagnetic field to remotely activate adhesive tapes through any non-metallic material.

Strong permanent bonds can be created conveniently and quickly, on-demand. With the proper adhesive and adhesive patterns, the bond can be optionally reversed for easy removal or repositioning without damage to the bonded materials. Costing considerably less than conventional induction heating systems, this small, lightweight, and safe system meets the needs of both professional and consumer users in a wide range of applications.
