As RSO of a major medical system, he is responsible for the radiation safety program for 4 metropolitan hosptials, including radioactive materials and radiation generating machines. The radiation safety program includes licensing (both NRC and Agreement State), procedure development, dosimetry, training, instrumentation and surveys, waste disposal and transportation. He performs shielding design and patient dose calculations. He also currently serves as faculty in the School of Radiologic Technology, teaching courses in physics, radiation biology and radiation protection.
