Expert is the Principal and Founder of Expert's Firm, a firm focused on delivery of expert medical affairs services and support to companies and investors in medical technology, life sciences, and healthcare services.

Expert served as Executive Vice President and Medical Director for Access CardioSystems, a medical device company in Concord, Massachusetts. At Access CardioSystems, Expert was responsible for all initial regulatory activities, implementation of the initial sales and marketing launch and ongoing sales and marketing support, business strategy development, investor relations, clinical network establishment, and clinical research. In addition, he lead the initial development of the company's international distribution network.

Expert is a member of the Board of Directors of Excorp Medical in Minneapolis, Minnesota and is an Advisory Consultant to Aethlon Capital, a private equity investment group based in Minneapolis. He has served as Chairman of the Medical Advisory Board of an Internet-based medical records management and benefits management company, and was the Chair of the Medical Advisory Board of a publicly traded company that developed technology for bedside or point-of-care laboratory testing.

Expert is also a former Regional Vice President of Medical Affairs for a national physician management company and a former department chair of emergency medicine. In these roles, he was responsible for the operation of profitable emergency department practices with over $30 million in revenue. He has also worked as a consultant in the development of medical practice guidelines.

Expert received his Bachelor of Arts with Honors from Cornell University and his Medical Degree with Honors from the Cornell University Medical College. He is a Fellow of the American College of Emergency Physicians and a member of the MIT Enterprise Forum, the Massachusetts Medical Device Industry Council, the American Heart Association, and the Society of Academic Emergency Medicine. In addition, he has been a member of the Regulatory Affairs Professionals Society and the American College of Physician Executives. Expert has made many media appearances, including a regular interview segment on the CBS television affiliate in Boston.

Expert is a member of the Massachusetts Medical Device Industry Council, Regulatory Affairs Professional Society, National Association of Medical Communicators, American College of Physician Executives, American College of Emergency Physicians, Massachusetts Medical Society, Medical Director, Port Chester-Rye Ambulance Corps, and Westchester County EMS Council Board of Trustees.

He is a Fellow of the American College of Emergency Physicians, 1989, 1997; Diplomate, American Board of Emergency Medicine, 1987, 1996; Diplomate, National Board of Medical Examiners, 1984; and a Licensed Doctor of Medicine, Commonwealth of Massachusetts, 1992.

He did his Residency in Emergency Medicine at the Bronx Municipal Hospital Center, Albert Einstein College of Medicine, Bronx, New York. His Internship was in Internal Medicine at The New York Hospital-Cornell University Medical Center, New York, New York.
