corporate strategic planning expert
strategic planning expert |
Corporate strategic planning usually falls down at the point where new alternative strategies are sought. Many times these strategies are just warmed-over versions from the previous year's plan. Expert does a better job by first getting all the "usual" alternatives out on the table. Then using creative thinking techniques, he pushes his clients to far surpass themselves in the alternative strategies they could adopt. After selecting the best alternative strategies, he leads the client to create objectives, goals, and milestones for each strategy, which in turn, are put into their strategic plan. This type of truly innovative thinking can lead to business process innovation, which can revolutionize the company. Expert has applied this process at the Smithsonian Institution. |
|
ideation expert |
Most often "ideation" is needed to solve a critical problem or take advantage of an opportunity. When the need is at hand, leaders usually challenge their people to "Think Out of the Box." Sadly, most people don't know how to do it and just thinking harder doesn't work. Expert teaches people how to do it with simple tools and a process to put the ideas to work. As an example, Sears Roebuck increased their revenues from appliance sales by over $100 million in 2000 from just one idea from one workshop. |
|
innovation expert
technology innovation expert |
In the past, most people defined "innovation" as taking ideas to market. However, today we find that most people use "innovation" to define the whole process of ideation, followed by implementation, to create bottom line results. Doing the whole job requires tools of creative thinking, as well as a process for harnessing those tools to deliver results. One without the other is ineffective. Expert effectively combines the tools and the process to deliver bottom line value. Expert created a process and use it with their clients who gain enormous value from its power (see the Sears example above). |
|
research management expert |
Expert served DuPont as a manager in research and development for 18 years. In his experience, research managers need to enable their people to innovate. They do that by the climate of innovation that is set by the company's policies and practices, where the fewer the rules and constraints, the better. However, there does need to be direction given so that the innovations that arise will be useful to the organization. |
