Expert retired as manager of surfactants and detergents for laundry products of Witco Corporation. His career spans 44 years including positions as President of Patco Products, Inc., various management positions in research, sales and marketing for Witco Corporation and manager of the technical services laboratory of Conoco Chemicals (now Sasol North America, Inc.). He started his consulting activities in the US and abroad as Scientific Detergent Research and is currently operating as SDR Consulting Services. He is past chairman of the AOCS Surfactants and Detergents Division, and was awarded the AOCS Award of Merit in 2002 for his years of work with the Surfactants & Detergents Division. He has served as chairman of the Education Committee, Membership Committee and Marketing Committee of the CSMA Detergents Division (now the Cleaning Products Division of the CSPA). He is also a regular lecturer at the Center for Professional Advancement Sulfonation Short Course. He has served as chairman of the SDA Suffolk County Task Force and of the ASTM Biodegradability Subcommittee of Committee D-12. Primary responsibility for global technical support in key corporate business areas:
Biodegradable LAB and derivatives (LAS);
Introduction to the market of synthetic fatty alcohols based on Ziegler ethylene oligomerization process.
Market concentrations in major detergent manufacturers, plastic film and pipe extruders, I&I formulators and other industrial applications. Responsible for all aspects of marketing Witco products to the Detergent Industry. Concentration on global marketing to the major multinational corporations. Emphasis on integrated sales support including technical, marketing, purchasing and senior management support
