  • Expert and his group developed a maintenance planning, scheduling, and control system that improved labor productivity by 60% and reduced overtime from 35% to less than 10%. A maintenance management reporting system was developed that measured the effectiveness of the maintenance department and gave the company, plant, and department management visibility into what is being accomplished.
  • Expert and his group developed a predictive/preventive maintenance program that achieved a reduction in emergency maintenance hours as a percent of total hours from 50% to less than 10%. It also reduced equipment downtime by 15% to 25% in each operating department.
  • A production and maintenance management information system was developed and implemented that measured the cause of equipment failure, productivity of each piece of equipment, and utilization of equipment against budgeted targets.
  • Expert and his group developed a maintenance spare parts storeroom planning and inventory control system that resulted in less equipment downtime from improved controls and accessibility of maintenance parts. Annual saving of between $400,000 and $600,000 were achieved in three different plants.
