Expert is a recognized expert and Certified Manufacturing Engineer (CMfgE) in the field of machine vision. He has given numerous presentations and papers to various professional societies and published articles on the technical and application aspects of machine vision. He has been instrumental in the introduction and successful application of vision technology at both Procter & Gamble and RJR Nabisco. Today, both companies have over 200 installed vision systems in manufacturing. He participated in the definition of several commercially available vision systems. Expert also holds five US and applications for three foreign patents and has been active in the definition of several commercially available vision systems. Expert has access to an in-depth video course, "Success with Machine Vision." The video contains six hours of studio-quality training on all aspects of vision system design considerations, specifications, and applications in numerous industries. Expert was the executive producer of "The World of Machine Vision" 55-minute videotape developed for the MVA/SME in January 1992. He delivered the keynote address at VISION '96 titled "Machine Vision Continues to Improve By Evolution Not Revolution."
