Expert has designed power conversion systems up to 200 KVA with expandability into the MVAs for a solar array, variable speed hydro, and battery energy storage used by a utility for load leveling. Expert is presently designing power converters using resonant mode switching of IGBTs. The highlight of this approach involves zero voltage switching of IGBTs with discrete pulse modulation techniques.
