Expert also has had experience in the analysis of the application of automatic and built-in tests for aircraft navigation and control systems. He is very familiar with test and data analysis of spacecraft inertial guidance systems, and he established an inertial test facility. Expert worked with the Gyro and Accelerometer Panel of the IEEE to develop standard test procedures for gyros. He developed test procedures and participated in testing gyros, accelerometers, and inertial systems.

These include special designs for inclusion in mechanical systems such as radar pedestals, inertial measurement units, and gimbals. He has also designed and developed torque and spin motors for gyroscopes and missile seeker-heads.
