In his book and video tape series, he discusses the relationship between water-based coolants and oil as well as air, heat, and bacterial contaminants; strategies for closed-loop filtration systems; disposing of coolant versus clarifying coolant; selecting cleaning devices and pumping schemes; and a comparison of full-flow and by-pass systems. He has worked on coolant clarification for a variety of applications including machining, grinding, rolling, wire drawing, and continuous casting operations. He has also served other liquid solid applications for minerals, chemicals, and wastewater.

He has worked extensively with metal grinding, machining, rolling, and wire drawing operations with hands-on knowledge of each unique type of metal used, kind of coolant required, and level of performance necessary. He has designed and installed return piping, trenches (with flushing) reservoirs, pumps, and supply lines.
