HEAT SEALING; GENERAL PROPERTIES OF FILMS; POLYETHYLENE FILM. Expert is experienced with hot bar and wire heat sealing of polyethylene films. He has worked with blown LDPE and LLDPE films and understands their properties. He has expertise in bag-making, and in laminating and coextrusion of films. He is well-versed in the mechanical properties of films, including tensile strength, elongation, puncture resistance, stiffness, and oxygen impermeability. He is also very familiar with films for packaging. ANTIOXIDANTS FOR POLYMERS. Expert has knowledge of antioxidants for LDPE, LLDPE, and other polymers, including blends of antioxidants for sensitive polymers (such as polypropylene). ORGANIC CHEMISTRY. Expert has a general knowledge of organic chemistry. He taught a course at LSU for five years, which included both lecture and lab. Expert has also taught remedial math and college algebra for the University of Maryland (in Germany) for several terms. Expert has prepared lectures intended for engineers, chemists, and technicians. The subjects of the lectures include polyethylenes, antioxidants for plastics, polymer additives, analysis of polymers, and mineral reinforcing agents for polymers.
