He has over 50 years of experience in materials engineering, mechanics and structural forensic engineering in the chemical process industry and the bio/pharmaceutical industry. His expertise includes material selection (clad metals, fiber reinforced plastic, ceramics, graphites, wood, cement, and insulators such as refractories and brick lined equipment; failure analysis; corrosion (identification, testing, protection, cathodic, anodic, PAP, microbiologically induced (MIC), high temperature, and protective coatings), fabrication (welding, heat treatments, tool and die design); and tribology (wear erosion). In addition to his materials engineering expertise, Expert has extensive experience in electrical, mechanical, chemical, and metallurgical engineering. He is knowledgeable of wood capabilities as well as material construction, fabrication, use, and applications.

Expert has his own failure analysis laboratory and/or access to any additional equipment needed. He also conducts in-plant equipment inspections, represents clients at fabricator's site to ensure proper quality control of new equipment or repairs. He has helped clients comply with the new underground tank regulations.
