A significant portion of Expert's career has involved quality control and total quality management as well as the control and reduction of inventory levels by pragmatic models and systems, such as materials requirements planning (MRP), over-the-counter (OTC) drugs and JIT (Just in Time). Much of this work was in pharmaceuticals, including OTC., ethicals, and penicillin. He is also familiar with aseptic and nonaseptic validation and good manufacturing practices. He has done complete GMP audits for a U.S. medical device manufacturer and for pharmaceutical companies in Bangladesh and Indonesia. In Indonesia, he also improved stability of their effervescent product by process improvement.

Expert has 25 years of experience in all aspects of over-the-counter and ethical pharmaceutical manufacture, including quality control (QC), quality auditing(QA), plant management, materials management, quality improvement, total quality control (TQC), ABC inventory classification, FDA regulations, and aseptic processing of vitamins, parenterals, penicillins, and chewable and regular tablets.

Expert has extensive industry, academic, and consulting experience in various aspects of total quality control (TQC), including statistical process control (SPC), design, and Shingo systems. He is also familiar with new developments such as the Taguchi method and design validation.

In addition to his 20 years of pharmaceutical industry experience in developing and administering systems and policies for control and flow of inventory, Expert has successfully applied his knowledge to specific problems in medical device inventory control. He has worked on a variety of student projects for diverse companies. He helped locate an inventory shinkage and implement correct procedures for a medical device client. Expert also implemented an ABC classification of purchased materials for a hospital pharmacy, which resulted in significant savings in carrying costs. Similar results were achieved when Expert used ABC classification for a family drug store and to a cement supplier.

Over his 35-year career, Expert has worked with statistical control charts and other applications in the chemical and pharmaceutical industries. His projects include the control of a YMCA pool temperature, using a run chart approach that increased customer satisfaction and lowered energy use. He used stability control tests and limits for an effervescent in a foil package. He also used run chart applications, as a first step, for a Guidewire coating operation.
