MINING COMPUTER APPLICATIONS. In her career with mining companies, Expert developed and used a variety of software for geologic data collection and analysis, ore reserves calculation, mapping, and mine planning. This work was done with a variety of commodities and deposit types. As a consultant, she has accumulated extensive information, in the commercial and public domain, related to all phases of mining activity. In addition, the information covers other earth science activities, including geology, mapping, maintenance, environmental, geographic information system (GIS), statistics, and others. Her present work involves dissemination of software information, evaluation of software needs and programs, and training in earth science applications. Since 1985, she has provided a variety of computer-related services to the mining industry. A directory contains a storehouse of information about commercial and public domain software packages. She has helped organize and present at a variety of workshops on use of computers and applications in the earth sciences. MINING COMPUTER APPLICATIONS TRAINING. Expert has extensive experience in training in computer basics and the use of earth science software to database design, data analysis, mapping, volumetrics, and related topics. This experience includes developing countries. She has expertise in internet resources for earth scientists. ORE RESERVE ESTIMATION; MINE PLANNING. Expert is proficient in the calculation of ore reserves from geologic data. Using computer programs, she developed mine plans for surface and underground mines.
