He has been involved in the development of several sophisticated communication systems, including the MILSTAR satellite system. At the Aerospace Corporation, he was the principal architect for EHF Satellite Data Link Standards. Currently, Expert is the Head of Advanced Systems at Expert's Firm, a consulting company that he started in 1984. He is particularly knowledgeable in digital system design and performance evaluation. He is experienced in the evaluation of various communication subsystem specialties such as modulation, error-correction coding, link analysis, synchronization, multiple access, spread spectrum, bandwidth-efficient signaling, and systems designed for fading channels. During the recent past Expert has been involved in telecommunication design issues, particularly in the area of mobile digital telephony. He is experienced in the evaluation of various telecommunication subsystem specialties such as: modulation, error-correction coding, link analysis, synchronization, multiple access, spread spectrum, bandwidth-efficient signaling, and systems designed for fading channels. He is familiar with the European GSM system, and is also knowledgeable in TDMA and CDMA mobile digital telephony systems. MODULATION TECHNIQUES; BANDWIDTH COMPRESSION; BROADBAND COMMUNICATION; SPREAD-SPECTRUM TRANSMISSION. Expert has been involved in the development of several sophisticated radio systems. He is particularly knowledgeable in digital system design and performance evaluation. He is experienced in the evaluation of various communication subsystem specialties such as modulation, error-correction coding, link analysis, synchronization, multiple access, spread spectrum, bandwidth-efficient signaling, and systems designed for fading channels. He is also experience in the design of anti-jam and LPI systems. MULTIPLEXING; CODE DIVISION MULTIPLEXING; FREQUENCY DIVISION MULTIPLEXING; DIGITAL TELEPHONY. A significant part of Expert's experience in communication systems has been in the design and evaluation of various multiple access techniques. The primary application has been for satellite systems.
