test procedure expert
applied anthropology expert
medical diagnostic test expert |
Expert's laboratory has been involved in the development of novel diagnostic test procedures, including one for whooping cough (U.S. Patent). Expert also has developed several new procedures to solve specific biomedical problems. These include the addition of Vitamin C to hemodialysis solutions to prevent chlorine-induced oxidant destruction of red blood cells, the clinical use of iron-binding proteins to suppress hemoglobin-driven bacterial infections (U.S. Patent), the development of a novel technique for the synthesis of immobilized iron chelators (U.S. Patent), and albumin-binding biomaterials (U.S. Patent). Expert has consulted in a variety of areas including diagnostic test development, biomaterials (compatibility and stability), and cellular oxidation and reduction reactions. |
