Expert has expertise in instrument design and development, and engineering management. His emphasis has been on electromechanical, pneumatic, and electronic components for instrument systems.
Expert has extensive experience in the development of chemical process control instruments, including pressure transducers and gauges, and temperature monitors. He is also skilled with medical and biomedical instruments involving chemical devices which have electronic and electromechanical systems interfacing with chemical sensors. For example, he developed the optics and photometry for instruments which convert color in blood chemical reactions into electrical signals. He holds six patents for interocular and blood pressure measurement instruments. He is adept in scientific instrument development, including gas and liquid chromatographs. He is also experienced in product development and manufacturing of a "next generation" small electromechanical appliance.

Expert's engineering management experience includes responsibility for the activities of a sixty-five engineer and support group. He was also responsible for the planning and startup of an overseas injection molded parts plant which manufactured medical products. In another case, Expert streamlined the organization of an engineering group and converted them into a fully operational, highly motivated design group. This resulted in reduced overhead and manufacturing costs, and improved product reliability. He is also experienced in improving manufacturing and engineering relationships for increased productivity, and releasing new products on the market.
