acoustic transducer expert
audio acoustics expert |
Expert has worked in the area of acoustical engineering for over 30 years. This work has primarily been involved with the applications of various facets of acoustics to sonar design. He has designed acoustic arrays and acoustic transducers. This work has involved developing electrical, flow, and mounting interfaces. He has worked with these problemsfrom the perspective of a design engineer, an analyst, a test engineer, and a subsystem and system manager, both in military and commercial environments. He was responsible for developing numerous analytical tools for use by transducer and array designers including Integral Helmholtz equation computer codes and Wave Vector analysis codes to analyze turbulent boundary layer noise effects on sonar arrays, codes for acoustic window design, and electro-mechanical models for transducer design. He has done extensive tests of window materials for applications from low to high frequencies. |

ultrasonics expert
sonar acoustics expert |
Expert has developed a number of ultrasonic transducers and devices for military, commercial, and medical applications. He designed, developed, and tested ultrasonic arrays for a Navy mine-hunting sonar. He was responsible for projectors and receivers for a commercial navigation sonar set. He invented an ultrasonic liquid level sensor and densitometer for aircraft fuel sensing applications as well as an acoustic probe concept for medical applications that reduces the complexity of the electrical connections to the array while reducing processing requirements. A recent consulting activity of Expert's involved sonar performance to substantiate claims in contract lawsuit. |
