He is also experienced with naturally occurring organic compounds, particularly alkaloids, and has studied the biogenetic relationships of the alkaloids of the amanita muscaria mushroom. Expert is adept with several analytical procedures, especially extraction, titration, gas chromatography, NMR, infrared and mass spectroscopy, distillation, and crystallization. He is also experienced with column, thin-layer, liquid and gas chromatography, radiochemistry, and radioactive labeling.
