Expert worked for the Aeromechanical Fastener Requirement Group for ten years. His goal was to stimulate development of a military specification covering sealing lock nuts for wet wings, fuel containment and hydraulic joint sealing and the applicable test specification parameters. He attended regular meetings nationally and contributed to the relevant committees.
