Through his soap experience, Expert has become experienced with the selection, qualification, and processing of many fats and oils. He is familiar with tallow, coconut oil, palm oil, palm kernel oil, and several minor oils. He is familiar with fat and oil quality requirements for bar soap production. Expert is experienced working with suppliers and purchasing agents and establishing key quality standards. He understands the analytical procedures required and has displayed flexibility in supply requirements that saved his former employer millions of dollars in raw material costs. (This expertise has also been applied to other soap and detergent raw materials.)

Expert has reorganized and rewritten many of the standard operating procedures used by P&G's worldwide bar soap and synthetic detergent manufacturing operations. He has been a leader in establishing proper quality control procedures and in adapting GMP requirements to the soap manufacturing process. For several years Expert ran one of P&G's standards offices. He prepared and issued formula cards, material balances, finished product and raw material specifications, and quality control procedures, all in electronic-compatible format. Expert was instrumental in merging the international Richardson-Vicks procedures for skin care products into P&G procedures and in coordinating this effort with those of other departments.
