AIRPLANE ENGINE; AIRCRAFT GAS-TURBINE ENGINE. Expert has expertise with the assembly and operation of modern gas turbine engines. He has worked with aircraft engines for 33 years dealing with engine assembly and disassembly, tooling, design, testing, and maintenance. He is familiar with the process of engine parts cleaning, inspection, and repair. Expert has experience conducting airline fleet surveys and facility (engine shop) reviews. He has provided gas turbine shop representation, on-site representation, gas turbine engine document reviews for traceability and AD compliance, inventory management, shop audits, and engine technical/performance assessments. Additionally, he has experience in purchasing and sales of engines, modules, parts, and tooling. AIRCRAFT ENGINE MAINTENANCE MANAGEMENT. Expert has been a customer support manager of a large engine manufacturer for eight years with responsibility for Latin America and the Caribbean region. He was responsible for all aftermarket operation of the Pratt & Whitney JT3D, JT8D, JT9D, PW2000, PW4000 gas turbine engines. He provided frequent technical updates and advised service improvements, reviewed warranty and financial issues, provided spare parts and tooling recommendations, and implemented on-site training. He is familiar with engine on-wing inspection requirements, engine removal scheduling, engine shop selection, engine workscope requirements, engine maintenance training, and engine testing. AIRCRAFT ENGINE MAINTENANCE FACILITIES DESIGN. Expert managed a group which was responsible for designing engine overhaul facilities throughout the third world. He conducted and prepared numerous on-site surveys, master plans, and on-site presentations for new or improved maintenance centers and overhaul shops. He worked with issues of facility design and provided scaled floor plans, personnel quantity and skill requirements, equipment, tooling, and all associated costs. AIRCRAFT ENGINE FAILURE ANALYSIS. Expert has experience with analyzing the causes for engine failure including poor operation, loss of exhaust gas temperature margin, and foreign object damage.

Following the survey a detailed report (Facility Study)is prepared outling required additional maintenance needs such as new buildings or modification of existing buildings, additional floor space showing details of various shops, additional facility equipment (heavy equipment), tooling, manpower with defined skill levles, warehousing, office space. This report is then presented to airline management along with a schedule for attainment of same.

In conjunction with above surveys and reports, have prepared a financial statement outlining future income projectoins and pay back analysis considering additional engine shop workload and expenditures required to build or rework existing shop. Reports are prepared as an Executive Summary attachment to the above Facility study.
