He designed a highly efficient (R 6.25 per inch thickness) pipe insulation for industrial applications. He achieves the same energy efficiency with sheet insulation for ducts and vessels. He has developed several insulation systems that incorporate both foam and fibrous insulation with a jacketing system for weather protection. The jacketing has a unique locking track to facilitate installation and removal.

Expert developed a unique foam insulation for pipes and vessels using a melamine foam. Melamine is normally a hard dense material, yet this is a .6 pound per cubic foot foam that is highly flame retardant and produces very low amounts of toxic gasses when burned.
