Smelting and leaching of NiCoCuFe concentrates and matte; nickel and cobalt salt recovery from tankhouse bleed and from secondary feedstocks; separating Ni from Co by ozonation; and finding "homes" for NiCo wastes (including prior upgrading) in smelter and hydrometallurgical conversion operations. Expert led the team that innovated Amax's acid pressure leach process for treating nickel laterite. At Port Nickel (New Orleans), he was Process Engineer during start-up of the pressure leaching, residue flotation, and the hydrogen reduction circuits. |
