He has planned and implemented substitution technology developments for new products and systems in proofing, analog, and digital printing. He has assessed market needs in non-impact printing and planned and developed innovative products and processes for consumable materials and systems development. Expert can help clients understand the workflow in the color imaging process and plan products and processes to best meet client needs and take advantage of electronic imaging opportunities.

Expert has applied his background in imaging science, including both silver halide and novel imaging technologies, to the development and management of film or screen systems for medical diagnosis. These systems include UltraVision(R) high-resolution diagnostics, networked medical imaging devices, and computer-aided diagnostics. He can aid optimization of various components in a diagnostic imaging system both technically and economically.

Since 1997 Expert has served as Executive Director of the Applied Optics Center of Delaware. This is a consortium of companies with the University of Delaware and Delaware State University to develop new laser-based optical systems for medical, environmental and process control analytical applications.
